Oshibana

What’s common in the cave paintings, carved statues, photographs?
These are nothing but souvenirs of time. The eternal human fetish to conserve the beautiful stories of present, so that it could be reminisced, retold and relived in future.
Stories.. Stories that are found in visuals of a moment, in the pressed rose from a loved one between pages of a book, in a familiar smell or sound, in the press of clasped fingers communicating without words.
Oshibana is one such story. An attempt to freeze the shapes of nature. The peephole of future, to make us wide-eyed with the kaleidoscope of its colours and patterns.
As human we love to hold on to time and its gifts like these for forever. This is our version to attain the beautiful immortality.
